Trump's Birth
Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946, at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, New York. He was the fourth child of Fred Trump, a German-American real estate developer, and Mary Anne MacLeod, a Scottish immigrant. He grew up in the Jamaica Estates neighborhood with his siblings: Marian, Fred Jr., Elizabeth, and Robert. He began his education at the private Kew Forest School through the seventh grade, then transferred to the New York Military Academy at the age of thirteen. He then enrolled at Fordham University in 1964, and two years later transferred to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in economics.
During his college years, Trump was exempted from military service four times due to health issues. In 1966, he was declared eligible for military service, but in 1968 he received a medical deferment and in 1972 he was permanently excluded due to a bone condition.
In 2015, Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, threatened legal action against anyone who published his academic records.

In 1977, Donald Trump married Czech model Ivana Zelnickova, with whom he had three children: Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. Ivana became a U.S. citizen in 1988, but the relationship ended in divorce in 1990 after Trump began an affair with actress Marla Maples. Trump married Marla in 1993, but they divorced in 1999. The couple had a daughter, Tiffany, who was raised by her mother in California. In 2005, Trump married Melania Knauss, a Slovenian model, with whom he had his only son, Barron. Melania became a U.S. citizen the same year.

In the 1970s, Donald Trump's parents joined the Marble Collegiate Church, part of the Reformed Church in America. Trump attended Sunday school and was confirmed in 1959 at the First Presbyterian Church of Jamaica. In 2015, Trump announced that he was a Presbyterian and worshipped at Marble Collegiate Church, although the church has made it clear that he is not an active member. In 2019, Trump appointed his personal pastor, Paula White, a televangelist, as an adviser to the White House Office of Public Liaison. In 2020, he stated that he considers himself a nondenominational Christian.
